Bentley Architects + Engineers, Inc. is recruiting for a Structural Engineer Intern. Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in structural engineering in the design and preparation of construction documents and engineering calculation packages associated with those plans. We have the project diversity of a large-scale firm, but in a smaller, more individualized working environment.
Experience must include the design of facilities located within the State of Florida. FDOT and Bridge experience a plus. Please submit a project list with your resume.
Fully capable of completing design and calculation efforts with minimal direction.
Coordinating with architects, MEP and other design professionals for a complete project.
Prepare construction plans for building structures including complex and miscellaneous structures.
Develop contract documents such as specifications and review of construction documents such as shop drawings or contractor requests.
On a task basis is responsible for preparation and completion of engineering designs directly into CAD. You are responsible for your own drafting.
Well versed with Finite Element Analysis modeling and calculation software.
Coordinate work activities and provide guidance to supporting staff.
Perform plan reviews and participate in stringent QC/QA process.
Primary Job duties are structural evaluation/design and the calculation packages for building structures including complex and miscellaneous structures.
B.S or M.S. Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University.
Candidate must have EI License which is compatible with ultimate licensing as a Professional Engineer in Florida.
Candidate must have US work Authorization.
Candidate must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, MicroStation and have ASCE Building Code Design Experience.
